Quick Guide
A quick guide to Manchester:
There is a lot more than meets the eye in the city of Manchester. Our guide is going to show you why!
From the famous tea rooms at venues such as the Richmond Tea Rooms to the diversity of architecture spread across the city. Buildings such as The John Rylands Library, full of manuscripts and student theses and the Urbis building which houses the National Football Museum showcase the best, the beautiful game has had to offer.
Then there are the high-rise developments of the last decade, vastly transforming the skyline and the atmosphere that Manchester has created. Credited as being a billion-pound city, this is where we are seeing real transformation. This is the success story of the regeneration of a successful Northern powerhouse.
Take for example the old site of a Roman fort, Castlefield. It is an iconic area of Manchester as well as the connection of the Mancunian way, much loved (and not so much at rush hour), it’s become a highly visible part of the Manchester landscape, especially during the rejuvenation of the city since the mid-90s.
Of course, Manchester is famous for its shopping prowess, competing with London, Milan and even Paris for the variety of shops, and style individuality across the whole city. The Arndale, Trafford Centre, Afflecks Palace and The Triangle are just part of the shopping scene.
The Springfields development boasts home to five major banks including several high-end restaurants, The Ritz, shops and wellbeing centres, all in turn surrounded by more high-rise city living apartments which can also be seen around the city. There is plenty of glass to clean so, if you’re someone in Manchester reading this right now, you know that we provide a Manchester window cleaning service no matter where you are based!
The whole of the city has developed over recent years. The Northern Quarter is not only trendy for students as it was in the early 2000s but for people of all ages. There are restaurants and bars, places to get and stay active, gyms and padel courts, and green initiative buildings and thanks to people like Chris Boardman, the city is becoming a cyclists’ haven.
